Behold SPIRAL ISLAND!!!  This is a living island made from thousands of plastic bottles which lie underneath, floating it on top of the water.  It has a solar cooker on the top floor.  A water collection system for showering.  4 cats.  Loads of living fruit trees giving forth bountiful fruit.  Loads of nooks and crannies.  It is a floating revolution made of that which man throws away... PLASTIC BOTTLES.  Try sinking a plastic bottle full of air... YOU CAN'T!!!  The concept is so simple and works so well.  Floating dwellings, a new possibility, brought on by the imagination of Richie the genius English dude.

Dave (our pal) putting bottles into bags to help prop up the excellent Spiral Island, with Richie, the mother of all things spiral on the right..

A view from the current location of Spiral Island near the otherwise unbelievably superficial Puerto allegre, a town that looks like an Irish sea ferry.  Tacky shops and self contained consumertastic feed the dog shops.  Well hideous.  Amazing that something so wonderful got permission to hang out in a town that is so shit.

A view from the top of Spiral Island.  Them's real plants growing from the island.  This is one of many ace perches to hang out on the island.

This is the gang at the organic farm in Chiapas.  The Santa Claus looking dude on the right is Miles.  Over on the right is Sean.  In the middle is us with some of the international dudes hanging out/working on the ranch.

Butter wouldn't melt...  Meet Chichi and Oso (or titties and bear in English).  The 2 half brother most beautiful dogs in Mexico.  Rub their bellies, see them love it...

2 of the lads stoking the fire for the hot tub.  A little wasteful of fire wood, this was the temporary method of heating water for the hot tub.  Hot tub parties: something everyone should check out.  You aint lived till you've hot tubed in the Chiapas higlands, with a full moon rising above the trees over head and everyone in the hot tub becoming pruney and playing truth or dare...

A dusty road somewhere in Chiapas

Building our own indigena ruins on Tulum beach.  Notice our carefully planned town including volcanoe (on the right), temple, sports arena, and lots of other crap which the sea made short work of...

Miles brandishing his potion of choice (aguardiente) out the window of the tracker, with everyone else on the roof or inside...  This was taken during the campign trip thing...

Tough station indeed.  This is the heavenly waterfall of the Rio Azul, or Blue River in Inglesi.  And blue it certainly was.  Proof that if you look after your rivers, they thrive and are beautiful.  But in Chiapas this river wasn't so much looked after, but more that it escpaed pollution because no big industries have located their polluting asses anywhere near it.  With a little planning and environmental law obeying, anywhere could have wonderful river amenities like this.

Well OK, maybe the waterfall is unique, but you get my drift...

A view from the same waterfall from the top...
